NDLEA Raids Lagos Nightclub Over Alleged Drug Party, Arrests Owner, Pretty Mike, and Others

Operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have raided Proxy Nightclub, located at 7 Akin Adesola Street, Victoria Island, Lagos, in the early hours of Sunday, October 26, where an alleged drug party was taking place.

In a statement issued by NDLEA spokesperson Femi Babafemi, over 100 suspects, including the club owner Mike Eze Nwalie Nwogu, popularly known as Pretty Mike, were arrested and taken into custody for screening.

During the operation, officers recovered cartons of illicit substances, including Loud (a variant of cannabis) and laughing gas, from both the suspects and the club’s storage area.

According to Babafemi, the raid was carried out following credible intelligence reports. NDLEA operatives had infiltrated the party around 11 p.m. on Saturday, and disrupted the event at about 3 a.m. on Sunday in line with the agency’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

The NDLEA confirmed that all detained individuals are currently undergoing further investigation.
